Sports Minister launches the Cycling Festival with the participation of 20,000 young people from all the governorates to celebrate October victory

Under the slogan "Egyptian youth congratulate Egypt on Victory Day", a video conference by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, launched the National Cycling Festival with the participation of 20,000 young people from all governorates to celebrate the 47th anniversary of the victories of the glorious October War.


He announced that the Ministry of Youth and Sports will allocate symbolic prizes amounting to 500 pounds to the first 25 contestants in each governorate, in addition to a set of appreciation prizes, to encourage all participants.


The cycling marathon organized by the ministry comes as part of continuous activities to celebrate the 47th anniversary of the October Victory. It is noteworthy that the Central Administration for Sports Development has implemented this festival in cooperation with the directorates of youth and sports. 


He also expressed his happiness with the participation of Egyptian youth from all governorates, pointing out that this participation expresses the loyalty and belonging value towards our beloved country Egypt, and congratulates the armed forces, the political leadership and the Egyptian people, for this memory that will remain engraved in the conscience of every Egyptian citizen.


Sobhy concluded that the October epic will remain a bright torch, witnessing the greatness of Egypt and its armed forces that paid the ultimate price for the sake of our dear homeland.
