Sports Minister discusses strengthening cooperation with the President of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, held a bilateral meeting with Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.


He discussed cooperation frameworks between the two parties in joint programs like entrepreneurship, developing youth skills and capabilities, and supporting innovators and athletes through various educational grants.


The Minister of Youth and Sports praised the fruitful cooperation with the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, implementing bilateral programs that benefit the youth, praised the academic role of the Academy, and presenting a conscious generation that includes competencies with the highest degrees of science and culture.


He reviewed the player Mohamed Ibrahim "Kisho"’s request, the player of the Egyptian wrestling team, to resume the educational scholarship provided to him by the Academy, as he stopped joining the scholarship during the last period because of his international participation in several tournaments.


The President of the Academy approved that the player Kisho will join the academy in the new academic year in light of the grant provided to him, referring to the academy’s social role and its sponsorship of Egypt's sportsmen.


 He indicated to recognize the sportsmen’s requests, work to implement them. They will follow up training programs to prepare them for the various international tournaments in coordination with the Olympic Committee and the concerned sports federations.
