On Saturday Morning, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, launched the events of" Beautiful Egypt" via video conference, where the initiative is being implemented at the level of the youth centers in the Republic's governorates in coordination with the youth and sports directorates, as part of Glorious October Victories celebrations.

Young men and girls, who are volunteers at Egyptian youth centers, members of scouting, and girl guides are participating in the initiative. The initiative includes sanitation, waste, and garbage disposal, planting several trees, sterilizing and disinfecting several areas, while taking all precautionary measures for protection against coronavirus.

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy explained the Ministry's interest to collaborate with the Environment Minister and concerned authorities in implementing initiatives that urge citizens to participate in environmental conservation and to reflect the role of youth in preserving the environment and in being involved in beautification the surrounding Community.

Youth and Sports Minister said, " we are keen to activate the role of the society of youth centers in all governorates in the light of youth and sports strategy for transferring the youth centers into social services centers that offer their means and services to the surrounding community with the participation of children and youth. Follow up and evaluation for the performance of the youth centers are regularly monitored. Distinguished centers are motivated within the Ministry's approach to developing these centers, not only in terms of their infrastructure, but also at the level of their development, and their administrative and service upgrading.

The Minister praised the role of youth in society and their keenness on launching constructive initiatives that contribute to Community development, and on participating with the Ministry in Community projects and programs that are being implemented. He appreciated them out of his awareness of their main role in the process of construction and development of the State, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.

For her part, Environment Minister welcomed all participants in the initiative, which confirms that everyone is keen to cooperate for a better environment for young men and girls in all governorates of Egypt, pointing to the" Live Green," as the first national campaign that aims at spreading environmental awareness and educating citizens about the importance of preserving the environment and national importance, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

It was mentioned that the" Beautiful Egypt" initiative, implemented by the Central Administration of youth centers and bodies of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in cooperation with youth and sports directorates at the Republic level, is part of the Ministry's celebrations of Glorious October Victories.
