Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, inspected the final works of 6th of October covered hall, accompanied by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, minister of Youth and Sports, The minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Dr. Asim Al-Jazzar, and Dr. Hassan Mustafa, President of the International Handball Federation. It will be among the stadiums that will host the events of the 2021 World Handball Championship. It includes the headquarters of the Egyptian Handball Federation and the African Handball Academy.
During the tour, Dr. Mostafa listened to a full explanation of what has accomplished as the work rate reached 95%. He directed to finish the works according to the specific timelines.
Furthermore, he added that Egypt is currently experiencing a great sports boom, whether in terms of achievements and tournaments or sports facilities.
The Minister of Youth and Sports indicated that the covered hall, which can accommodate 4,500 spectators, would be an addition to the sports infrastructure. It is one of the best covered halls in the Middle East that was established according to the standards set by the International Federation.
