Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, President of the executive office of the Arab youth and sports ministries, received his Lebanese counterpart, Vartine Ohanian, to discuss cooperation between the two countries in the fields of youth and sports.

During the meeting, the Lebanese Minister of Youth and Sports stressed depth of the strong Egypt-Lebanon relations, and stated that she looks forward to further cooperation between the two countries in various fields concerned with youth and sports.

Ohanian praised the efforts of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy over the past period. She added that Egypt has a sports infrastructure at the highest level, which qualifies it to host major sporting events. This was clear during the last period after hosting the largest global, international, and continental tournaments in Egypt, as will as hosting many youth events.

From his side, Youth and Sports Minister affirmed his appreciation to the Lebanese Minister of Youth and Sports, noting that the upcoming period will see the sighnin of several collaboration protocols between the two countries in the field of youth and sports.

At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Youth and Sports handed over the flag and the document on organizing the 30th Arab Scout Conference 2022, which was hosted by Egypt in 2019. The handover is the first of its kind at the level of the Arab Scout Conference.
