Sports Minister and the President of SCMR launch the initiative "Egypt first, No Prejudice"

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and journalist Karam Gabr, President of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR), launched the initiative "Egypt first, no Prejudice", in the presence of a group of media professionals, As Mr Salah Montaser, Dr Kamal Dorish, and a group of talk shows and sports programs presenters. 


Dr Ashraf Sobhi praised the cooperation with SCMR in launching the "Egypt First, No Prejudice" initiative to spread positive values and sportsmanship among the Egyptian masses at this time. He explained football and its industry depend on players, fans, clubs, the Football Association, and various media to appear in an integrated sports system, indicating that the media is the partner of supreme success and positive energy that goes with the Egyptian state.


This initiative was launched as a part of the final match of the African Champions League preparations that are held between Al-Ahly and Zamalek on 27 November. He called on the media to follow the media coverage rules, apply controls, and raise the sporting spirit among the fans.


Journalist Karam Gabr explained that the media plays a great role in facing sports prejudice and doesn’t use any means that offend or provoke the masses. He also indicated that different dialogue meetings and an annual plan and workshops are going to be set in coordination with the Ministry to address the mechanisms of confronting intolerance and preserving sports ethics.
