Sports Minister inspects Borg Al-Arab Indoor Hall

In preparation for Egypt's hosting of the World Handball Championship next January, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, today, inspected Borg Al-Arab Indoor Hall in Alexandria, after the completion of its instruction and after being fully equipped with all necessary utilities and services. 


Borg Al-Arab Indoor Hall is one of the sports halls that will host the competitions of the IHF World Men's Handball Championship. It is a 5000-spectator capacity hall that was built by international standers. It is placed over an area of 12,5 acres. 


The indoor hall includes the main hall which has a metal ceiling, the training halls, players' rooms, rooms for technical bodies, a room for the organizing committee, a gym, a conference hall, and a media center. 


Dr. Ashraf Sobhy checked all preparations and all utilities of the indoor hall of Borg Al-Arab in the framework of Egypt's hosting of 2021 World Handball Championship, pointing to the permanent coordination with the International Handball Federation and the Organizing Committee to make sure of the readiness of all administrative and logistic matters. 


Sports and Youth Minister emphasized the determination of all to organize the biggest event in handball at the highest level that befitting the capabilities of Egypt, and to show the whole world the development that Egypt is witnessing under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.


After inspecting the indoor hall, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy went to Borg Al-Arab Stadium to attend the Egyptian Cup final match between Al-Ahly and El-Gaish.
