Sports Minister follows up the arrival of 10 teams to participate in the World Handball Championship

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, follows up the precautionary measures implemented with teams during the World Handball Championship Egypt 2021. Yesterday South Korea, France, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Tunisia, Algeria, and Chile teams arrived in Cairo to participate in the World Handball Championship Egypt, 2021.


Minister of Sports emphasizes the political leadership support for the tournament to appear in a manner befitting Egypt's position in organizing international events and tournaments, noting that Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, was keen to attend the final training of the Egyptian national team, and praised the performance of the team during the training. 


The missions of the teams were received by delegations from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Health, the organizing committee of the tournament, the teams' escorts and a specialized medical team. All members of the teams were subjected to a coronavirus medical examination, upon their arrival at the accommodation hotels. 32 teams participate in the tournament for the first time instead of 24 teams.
