Sports Minister: El-Sisi's attendance at the opening cermony reflects the unstinting support for the tournament

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, praised the opening ceremony of the 27th IHF World Men's Handball Championship hosted by Egypt from 13 to 31 January 2021, which was held at the Cairo International Stadium in the presence of the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.     


Sobhy said that the ceremony witnessed a legendary organization and won the praise of all the delegations of the teams that participated in the tournament, who expressed their admiration and fascination at the good organization.    


The Minister of Sports added that what gave the organization and the ceremony a special luster and greater importance was the presence of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which confirms the support and assistance of Egypt and the political leadership for the World Handball Championship, especially as it is being held during the current extraordinary circumstances due to COVID-19 outbreak, amid the second wave of the virus, in order to deliver a message to the whole world that Egypt is able to host any tournament and is responsible at all levels.
