Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, visited the Sphinx at Giza Pyramids, where it’s possible to host the African Cup of Nations Draw in June 2019.
Sobhy said that the Giza Pyramids is one of the designated areas by the Organizing Committee which is likely to host AFCON 2019 Draw.
Sobhy added it reflects Egypt's great civilization and history, stressing that Egypt will surprise the world with a distinguished organization that reflects its position and its leadership in Africa.
Sobhy pointed out that there is continuous cooperation with the Organizing Committee to follow up the latest organizational preparations on all levels, stressing that Dr. Mostafa Madbouli, Prime Minister and The Head of the Supreme Committee of AFCON 2019 gives a great attention to this important event, which will be seen by nearly 2.1 billion people from all over the world.
Dr. Ashraf met with Dr. Rania El-Mashat, Minister of Tourism and Dr. Khaled El Anani, Minister of Antiquities, where they discussed the preparations for AFCON 2019
Dr. Rania El-Mashat pointed out that AFCON 2019 will play a major role in promoting Egypt’s tourism, and praised the great efforts of the Ministry of Youth and Sports headed by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy which will have a great impact on all levels.
On the other hand, Dr. Khaled El Anani, Minister of Antiquities, said that there will be special preparations by the Mnistry to accommodate the delegations of the participating teams, confirming the great cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in this regard, he also expressed his pleasure for the organization of AFCON 2019 in Egypt which will be invested to promote and support the Egyptian tourism .
This came on the slidlines of the participation of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Rania El-Mashat, Minister of Tourism and Dr. Khaled El Anani, Minister of Antiquities, in the First Edition of the International Pyramids Marathon, which is held under the auspices of the Mnistry of Youth and Sports, with the participation of 3500 marathoners representing 70 countries for 10 km in the Pyramids area.
