Sports Minister supports Ibtisam Zayed, the star of the Egyptian cycling team, before heading to Tokyo

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, visited the cycling team training camp, and attended the last training of Ibtisam Zayed, the star of the Egyptian cycling team, before traveling to Japan in preparation for participating in Tokyo Olympics.


This was during a visit by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy to the international cycling track at Cairo Stadium to check on the latest preparations and equipment for Egypt to host the World Junior Championships for Track Cycling.


The Minister of Youth and Sports supported and motivated the player, Ibtisam Zayed, before taking part in the Olympics, and asked her to make the utmost effort to compete with strength and determination in Tokyo Olympics, stressing the Ministry's full support for her and all the athletes who represent Egypt in such global forum.


Dr. Ashraf Sobhy also met with the technical staff of the national team preparing for the Junior World Cup, which Egypt will host next month, and met with Captain Mohamed Ibrahim, coach of the player Ibtisam Zayed, and motivate them before traveling to Tokyo.


From his side, Dr. Wajih Azzam praised the state's continuous support for bicycles and national team players, the follow-up to the preparation of the international track, and the follow-up of all preparations for Egypt's hosting of the championship.
