Michel Gunnar, head of the Sports Committee of the International Diving Federation, expressed his great happiness at Egypt's hosting of the World Cup for Finswimming and thanked Egypt for its interest in sports facilities that distinguished it from other countries in the world and its ability to attract international events in diving sports.

Michel Gunnar praised the excellent organization of the tournament and praised the role of the Egyptian Diving Federation in broadening the base of general practice for this sport, describing the Egyptian Diving Federation as having "great experience" in organizing these tournaments.

He added that the city of Sharm El-Sheikh has a global reputation as a great tourist destination, pointing out that the previous world championship, which was held in 2019, had a "great impact on us" and left a good mental image in the good organization and constant readiness for the success of the tournaments, especially with the large presence on the part of the participating foreign and Arab countries in the championship.

He also praised the Egyptian teams, stressing that they are in continuous development, making them one of the best countries that have won previous championships, which were held in Colombia, America and Italy.

He concluded that the elections held last week here in Sharm El-Sheikh chose Captain Sameh El-Shazly as a member of the Executive Board of the International Federation, "which is considered a successful choice because of his great experience in the Diving Federation."
