Sports Minister mourns death of journalist Yasser Rizk

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports,  mourned with profound sadness the death of the veteran Egyptian journalist Yasser Rizk, former chairman of the board of directors of Akhbar Al-Youm Foundation, who passed away early Wednesday at the age of 57 after a sudden heart attack.

The Minister prays to God Almighty to have mercy on the deceased, and to inspire his family and relatives patience and solace on the parting of this authentic Egyptian national symbol.

The journalist writer Yasser Rizk is one of the most prominent and famous journalists in Egypt and the Arab world.

"The late great was a symbol of the national press, he dedicated his life in the service of his country, and his intellectual contributions, press writings and patriotic stances will remain immortal and remain in the conscience and awareness of the Egyptian people over generations." Dr. Ashraf Sobhy said.
