Sports Minister communicates with Interior Minister regarding the upcoming Egypt-Senegal match

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, contacted Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of the Interior, regarding the Egyptian national team’s match against Senegal in the final qualifying stage for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.


He discussed with the Minister of Interior the arrangements for the match to be held at the Cairo International Stadium, with a massive public presence to support the players in the first leg in Cairo before the return match in Senegal at the end of next March. The various aspects of the organizational process were also discussed, and the Tazkarti Company’s role in organizing the mass presence inside the stadium.


In another context, he directed Cairo International Stadium Authority not to use the main playground, and to prepare it for the upcoming match as the Egyptian fans are waiting for in the way to qualify for the World Cup for football.


He also communicated with the Egyptian Football Association Board of Directors to follow up all procedures related to the preparations and arrangements for the match, the expected public attendance, and all the details concerning the team and the technical staff for that fateful match.
