Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, delegated his deputy, Dr. Abdel Awal Mohamed to receive the delegation of the national judo team at Cairo International Airport. The team participated in the European Cup in Bosnia and achieved fourth place amid the participation of 27 countries.
The national team won 4 medals, two gold, and two bronze, where the player “Mohamed Abdel-Mawgoud” won the gold medal in the 66kg weight competition, and the player “Yousra Sami” won the gold medal in the 60kg weight competition, while the player “Farah Ali” won the bronze medal in the competitions +78 kg, and the player "Abdul-Rahman Abdul-Ghani" won the bronze medal in the 81-kg category.
The Minister of Youth and Sports congratulated the Egyptian Judo Federation and the delegation of the national team for their distinguished appearance and for winning 4 medals in the European Cup competitions. He emphasized the status of the Egyptian sport (judo) among the various countries, and as a new addition to the achievements witnessed by the Egyptian sport.
