The Ministry of Youth and Sports has formed a committee to look into the lack of transparency and corruption in the Egyptian Football Association. The committee has examined many files in the Egyptian Football Association, including the circumstances related to not applying to host the final match of the African Champions League, which was held in Morocco between the Egyptian Al-Ahly and Moroccan Wydad, according to what the Al-Ahly Club said.

The committee's work also includes examining many financial files during the current and previous periods over the succession of boards of directors and committees that were problematic to manage the affairs of the union in all financial aspects. It is scheduled to complete the examination work in the coming days, provided that it issues a detailed report that includes the results and recommendations in light of the results of the committee’s work.
