Dr. Ashraf Sobhy discusses Egypt's wrestler Samar Hamza preparations for the upcoming tournaments

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, met with the Egyptian wrestler Samar Hamza in order to get knowledge about her requirements and her preparations for the upcoming championships
Sports Minister emphasized the support for Samar Hamza in the various tournaments, also the ministry’s support for all sports champions in coordination with the Olympic Committee and sports federations, pointing to the ministry’s direction towards providing care for Egypt’s champions with the participation of private sector institutions based on its social responsibility.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhy stressed the strength of the Egyptian wrestler Samar Hamza, and her ability to claim many medals in the coming period, pointing to the need for continuous evaluation of the performance presented in various tournaments according to scientific foundations and specific measurements to ensure better levels and achieve more titles.
Samar expressed her intention to continue her focus in training to represent Egypt in the upcoming international tournaments to reach the Olympic Games in Paris 2024 and compete for an Olympic medal.
Egypt’s wrestler Samar Hamza won the bronze medal of the 2021 World Championship in the women’s 76kg weight category that took place in Norway, becoming the first ever Egyptian woman to claim the trophy.
