End of Hohhot Grand Prix in China 2019

At the closing of Hohhot grand prix 2019 in China, which took place from 24th to 26th of May 2019, with the participation of 43 countries from four different continents, Egypt participated in the championship with 6 male players: Mohamed Mohy Eldin, Abdel Rahman Mohamed, Hatem Abdel Akher, Ahmed Waheed, Mohamed Abdelaal and Ahmed Abdel Rahman.

 

The loss of Ahmed Abdel Rahman against his rival Ismayil Ibrahimov player of Azerbaijan in the 2nd round of men’s -66 kg contests resulted in his exit from the championship, as well as Mohamed Mohyeldin who lost the match against Tommy Macias from Sweden in the 2nd round of men’s -73 kg contests.

 

Mohamed Abdelaal was also excluded from Hohhot grand prix after his loss against the German Player Dominic Ressel in the -81 kg bronze medal contests, for which he qualified after losing the match against Saeid Mollaei player of Iran in the quarter final, Abdel Rahman Mohamed, who participates in the same weight, also excluded from the championship after his loss in the 2nd round contests against the German Player Dominic Ressel.

 

Hatem Abd El Akher, who participates in men’s -90 kg contests, lost the match against Peru's player Yuta Galarreta Villar in the 1st round and eliminated from the championship as well as Ahmed Wahid who was eliminated for losing against Cuba's player Andy Granda in the 2nd round of men’s +100 contests.

 

As for the results of the participating countries, South Korea won the championship and snatched 6 medals, (4 golds and 2 bronze medals), Japan came in second place with 6 medals (3 golds, 2 silvers and 1 bronze medal), and in the third place came North Korea with two gold medals.
