During His Inauguration on Behalf of His Excellency the President: Prime Minister Inspects Several Pavilions at the “Sports Expo 2025” Exhibition and Conference

Following his inauguration, on behalf of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic of Egypt, of the third edition of the international sports exhibition and conference “Sports Expo 2025,” held under the auspices of the President, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, accompanied by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, along with a number of ministers, ambassadors, the Governor of Cairo, the Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and key figures from the sports sector, toured several exhibition pavilions.
The Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation visited the Al Ahly Club pavilion and stopped by the “Captex” Company pavilion, which specializes in the production of artificial turf. Minister of Youth and Sports informed the Prime Minister that the establishment of the company’s artificial turf factory is part of Egypt’s strategy to enhance the role of sports in the national economy, noting that the factory has undergone significant expansion in its investments. The Minister further explained that the factory leverages Egyptian capabilities and raw materials to manufacture sports field essentials such as artificial turf, reducing import costs and conserving foreign currency. Additionally, the factory produces sports balls and footwear, with plans to launch a sportswear production line. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly praised the continuous development of the “Captex” factory year after year.
The Prime Minister also visited the pavilion of the “Al-Nady” Club, where he was briefed on the club’s branches in Sheraton, 6th of October City, and the New Administrative Capital. Minister of Youth and Sports provided an overview of the club’s facilities and its latest development efforts, showcasing the architectural model of its branch in the New Administrative Capital. The Prime Minister also inspected prototypes of sports fields and health clubs that will be available at the club to attract enthusiasts of various sports.
Additionally, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly visited the pavilion of the Sports and Youth Cities Company, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, where he was presented with a selection of the company’s notable achievements in constructing and developing sports and youth facilities. The presentation highlighted the company’s efforts in building and upgrading numerous sports fields and maintaining existing ones. While at the company’s pavilion, the Prime Minister was briefed on the company’s strategy to expand its capabilities and undertake projects beyond the Ministry of Youth and Sports, aiming to strengthen its competitive position in the market, which he commended.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly then proceeded to visit the “United Sports” pavilion, where he praised the significant advancements in the company’s sports channels, highlighting their world-class coverage of sporting events. He encouraged company officials to continue enhancing their broadcast quality.
The Prime Minister and his delegation also toured the pavilion of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, where Lieutenant General Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Organization, emphasized its strategic focus on expanding partnerships with local and international institutions across various industries. He noted that the organization’s participation in “Sports Expo 2025” showcases the latest sports equipment and products, underscoring its commitment to localizing sports manufacturing technology to meet local market demands and export to African, Arab, and allied countries. The Prime Minister praised the range of products and industries displayed at the organization’s pavilion.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly also visited the pavilion of “Soccerex,” where it was highlighted that the organization has hosted more than 50 major events in 22 cities worldwide, attracting attendees from over 100 countries. More than 2,500 industry leaders and innovators have participated in these events. It was noted that Soccerex has partnered with the exhibition to drive a transformative shift in sports support, club management, sports technology, and football investment.
The Prime Minister then toured the pavilions of “Estadat Sports Investment Company” and “Score Grass”, a company specializing in the export of artificial turf to various countries worldwide.
During his visit, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly also attended key events at “Sports Expo 2025,” including the fourth edition of the Youth Corporate Social Responsibility Conference—one of the most prominent interactive platforms bringing together youth, influential content creators, and leading companies to exchange experiences and initiatives aimed at making a positive societal impact. This year’s conference introduces two new initiatives:
• “Speak Arabic” Initiative: Aims to strengthen cultural identity among youth and instill pride in their native language.
• “Promote Egypt” Initiative: Focuses on marketing Egypt across various sectors to enhance its economic and tourism position both locally and globally.
The Prime Minister also visited pavilions showcasing various sports and later toured the 11th edition of the Hayat School of Arts Exhibition—the largest art exhibition and competition featuring over 1,500 distinguished students from 70 international schools. The exhibition provides students with a platform to display their artistic creations while enjoying a sporting atmosphere. The Prime Minister admired the students’ impressive artwork, engaged in a friendly conversation with them, and posed for a commemorative photo with some of the participants. During this visit, it was noted that a well-known carpet manufacturing company had transformed some of the students’ artwork into carpets.
At the pavilion of “FC MASAR”, the Prime Minister was briefed on the club’s journey. It was explained that the club was founded in 2019 under the name “Tout Club” before being rebranded as “FC MASAR.” The club has achieved several championships in 2022 and 2023 and owns branches in multiple capital cities worldwide. Additionally, it was revealed that the company managing the club has allocated approximately €30 million in investments from 2021 to 2027 for further expansion in the sports sector.
The Prime Minister also observed activities organized by the Egyptian Street Sports Federationand toured the pavilion dedicated to E-Gaming, showcasing the latest advancements in electronic sports.
It is worth noting that “Sports Expo 2025” is expected to attract thousands of visitors, including prominent international sports figures, hundreds of sports companies, and numerous global sports clubs, making it one of the most anticipated sporting events. It represents a significant step toward realizing Egypt’s vision of becoming a global hub for sports and sports investment.
Sports Expo 2025 is built around several key pillars aimed at reinforcing sports as an economic and developmental tool, including:
• “Sports & Technology” Pillar: Showcasing the latest digital solutions for sports performance analysis, training, and enhancing fan experiences.
• “Sports Investment” Pillar: Discussing funding opportunities, sports sponsorships, and how clubs can transform into sustainable economic entities through strategic partnerships and sponsorship deals.
• “Fan Engagement” Pillar: Highlighting the latest sports marketing strategies and the role of digital analytics and social media in increasing audience interaction.
