Minister of Youth and Sports Inaugurates Training Course on Scientific Food Culture

Minister of Youth and Sports inaugurated the training course held as part of the National Program for Sustainable Professional Development in Sports Institutions. The course focuses on the scientific culture of food, nutrition, and anti-doping measures.

The program targets employees of sports institutions, organizations, and students and graduates of physical education faculties nationwide. Its activities are taking place from January 25 to 29 at the Olympic Center for Training National Teams in Maadi.

The course aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the relationship between nutrition and athletic performance, enhancing physical and mental capabilities, and equipping coaches with the knowledge to design customized nutritional plans tailored to the specific needs of athletes based on their sports.

In this context, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy emphasized that the Egyptian state is working to build a comprehensive sports system rooted in science and knowledge as a foundation for sustainable development. He highlighted that scientific food culture and nutrition have become an urgent necessity for improving athletic performance and ensuring the safety of athletes.

The Minister also stressed that combating doping is a top priority, not only to preserve the integrity of competitions but also to protect the health of young athletes from the risks posed by these substances.

This course is part of the National Program for Sustainable Professional Development, which aims to build sports cadres capable of keeping pace with the latest international standards. In addition to scientific food culture and nutrition, the program includes a variety of specialized training courses, such as "Professional Fitness Trainer" and preparation for the freelance market, biomechanical applications in fitness and healthcare, and the role of digital technology and media in the sports field.
